February 13: Felted Landscape Painting
Wool is available in an inspiring assortment of colors and textures! Learn how to use wool roving to create a wall-hanging. We will cover basic techniques, tools, and supplies you need for making a 2D and 3D artwork.
March 12: Drawing from the Heart, a somatic approach
Direct Experience leads to letting go of preconceived ideas about how you are as an artistic being. Discover a deep process that connects you to putting your mark on paper. Tap into your intrinsic forms of expression using analog drawing and somatic awareness. This workshop is about process and you will leave with a greater awareness of what works for your own artistic endeavors.
April 9: Spring is Coming! Uncover the possibilities of the color GREEN.
Let’s bring SPRINGTIME into our lives in a powerful way! Work from a photo or your imagination to create a composition that highlights all the variety and fullness of the color green. We will cover as many color mixing techniques as time allows including complements, shadows, warm and cool, values, and intensity.
May 14: Prayer Flags
Let your artsy flags fly! We will be creating a series of mini-paintings on fabric and then stringing them so they can be tied in your favorite breezy space. Using acrylics, let your imagination flow, everything works, and looks great.
We will sew the flags onto a line so they will be secure and lay flat.
